Mini shoe haul

(Patent slingback pointed toe flats & neon Juju heels, Topshop)

Scored these two pairs of shoes for real cheap at Topshop the other day and I'm really happy!!! Trying to find a pair of flats which are not too girly/kawaii feel and these fits the bill. Really loving the pointed toe detail!
I've been wanting a pair of Jujus since the soles of my Sun Jellies are wearing out and are starting to hurt(ouch, ugh!)my feet when I walk long distances. Prolly would get my hands on a pair of Juju flat sandals, too.
Still remember when the whole jelly shoe craze was on and sun jellies were marketed as being the "original and better quality" brand of shoes I totally bought into it. Not saying I don't love them but quite disappointed how my jelly shoes turned out to be that way. Probably get a pair in black/clear like my current jelly shoes. Juju has a different sole and all and hope it is gonna turn out better! If space and money permits, I'd probably get a few pairs. Ha ha. Really hope I can have more fashion-y stuff in this space hopefully!

Time to pack and leave house for my chalet, hello to BBQ, randoms and all!

Out of the blue

( Blazer: Nastygal / Shorts: KateLove / Sling bag: Baggu / Oxfords: Topshop / Lightning necklace: Forever 21 / Quartz necklace: LateRabbit )

Went for a walkabout at the malls after sitting for quizzes at school, just to destress with Yh in the evening, as well as to pick up some stuff at the shops. Feels like I'm shopping all the time though. Woops.

Always sporting messy hair... If its neat, its probably not me. And baby hair all over my face. I always envied people with hair that always fell perfectly but after 17 ish years of my life I've learnt to accept it. Haven't been rocking centre parting since when i was five, and bringing it back after twelve years.

This is probably how I'll look in school on a dressy day, but other days its just tee shirt/sweat, skater skirts/leggings and my converses. The chiffon shirt is really basic piece of clothing, just dressed up. The blazer is of a really good fit with slits at the sides to prevent that boxy look, just to add colour to my whole outlook.
The shoes are kind of a christmas present from Yh and they're my first pair of oxfords, suprising much? Well.

Went to eat at Kungfu Paradise and it was a good choice, probably an 'upgrade' from the usual fast food/food court food. Not too much a strain on the wallet (which is a good thing). Everything looked so yummy and after flipping through the menu and exchanging "What do you wanna eat?" several times we finally decided on a few. Yes these are what we both ordered together and felt so full, funny.

I intended for some caesar salad only initially but ended up ordering more, oh heck the food was good. The mashed potato was soooo silky and the bun for the burger was so flavourful despite it being just a... bun. We were allowed to pick two choices of sauce for the baked rice(its their specialty if i don't remember wrongly) and it was japanese curry and cream, so for fickle people like me we could try two, or a mix of both.
Passed up on the dessert because both of us were still recovering from the influx of chinese new year goodies, but next time I'll get one of their shakes or cakes which looked so mouth watering behind the glass display.

My blog is slowly becoming into a food blog, but ah I blog what I wanna blog.

Adventure

Meet Duchess, the golden retriever!

( Camou outerwear: Bugis street / Graphic tee: Bugis street / Denim shorts: Forever 21 / Kitty tattoo leggings: Taiwan / Sneakers: Converse )

The camouflage jacket turned out to be very apt for this as the park felt very adventure-y, perhaps I could wear it to go trekking at the park soon.

Gave school a miss today because my shoulders hurt so bad I had to breathe manually, as stupid as it sounds. Have been nursing this injury since pre-competition and it has gotten worse due to my stupidity and overestimation.... well. Shit happens. Since then I've been trying to wear more backpacks to not feel the strain..... who doesn't love backpacks? My current fave backpack would be the one i'm wearing above which also can be seen here.

Speaking of competition, Yours Truly designed the tee shirt! How cool is that (or not).

Anyway, I spent my weekend helping out YH with his film assignment, as a makeup artist. This is my second time doing this, apart from helping out with my dance club 2 years ago. And it is the first time I am putting makeup on a man to fake his age; not to look young, but to look old! Amazing how makeup can transform faces. Honestly I think it could've done better but the crew approved of my work. Much sense of satisfaction.

Doesn't Duchess look cute? She's the most friendliest dog I've ever met, makes me feel like getting a dog....

What i wore for some Chinese New Year clothes shopping. The chinese believe that new clothes must be worn for a new year to signify a new start, and that permits me a shopping trip. Explored Bugis a little. Bugis street reminded me so much of Taiwan, and i so want to shop in that kind of setting once again, because shopping centres are boring. Planning a Bangkok trip in 2015 and i'm pretty excited.

Had my dental appointment before that and my dentist told me the braces could be removed in 3-4 months' time. Yay! No more Metalmouth, hello nicer teeth. Reasons why i don't smile with teeth as much because it looked like someone had a fist coming out from my throat and punched my upper set of teeth out, and now it looks better.... More pleasing to the eye, i hope. Refused extractions and well i hope i am going to be happy with my teeth once the braces are off. Did i mention in the course of 1 year of having braces, not only did the aesthetics of my teeth change, but so did my face shape? I hope it is for the better, and i hope i am not going to look weird after they are off. *fingers crossed*

Outside my dental clinic had a pasar malam. More street food!

And finally i brought out one of my many satchels, usually i carry a backpack because it does not strain the lower back after having extra weight on one side of your body. I carry a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout my shopping trip, it feels terrible yearning for water while refusing to pay $3.00 for a bottle of water, so why not? Downside is that you've got to carry it around and who likes carrying a heavy bag? Noone. Obviously....

This leather tunic/shift dress is my favourite. It has 2 leather pockets, convenient for me to put my phone and wallet in, perfect.

City of Compton

compton6 compton1 compton4 compton7
compton2 compton5 compton3 ( "City of Compton" Shirt & Mesh Panel Leggings: F21 / Jelly Black Loafers: Rubi )

First day of school after the New Years'/ festive break. Put on some festive weight and what more to feel cozier than a huge t-shirt and leggings? I swear by leggings, given that my waistline is ever changing. And huge t-shirts. They are my staple ever since i stepped into polytechnic. Woke up late for school? Just grab a huge tee shirt and a pair of leggings and I'm good to go.
I recently find myself buying more black clothing; slimming effect maybe? Black goes with (almost) everything anyway. Dressed up the slouchy oversized tee with mesh panel leggings. Nonetheless they were comfy and made my legs looked slimmer.

How do my eyebags look? Time to have more sleep, maybe, or maybe not....
